NARC Diversity and Inclusion Policy
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at The Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Center (NARC)
Last updated: January 10, 2026

Healing requires safety. Safety includes feeling seen, respected, and not “othered” in the room. TRC is committed to providing trauma-informed care that honors the full reality of each person.

Our stance

NARC welcomes and affirms clients across identities and lived experiences, including (but not limited to):

  • Race, ethnicity, culture, and nationality
  • LGBTQ+ identities and relationships
  • Disability and chronic illness
  • Body size and appearance diversity
  • Faith and spiritual backgrounds
  • Neurodiversity
  • Socioeconomic background
  • Military, first responder, and caregiver experiences
  • Survivors of interpersonal violence, coercive control, and complex trauma

Cultural humility, not performative language

We do not pretend we “get it” automatically. We practice cultural humility, which means:

  • Ongoing training and consultation
  • Willingness to name and correct blind spots
  • Respect for your values and worldview
  • Openness to feedback about what feels safe or unsafe in care

Client centered care

We aim to match support to your needs, including:

  • Respecting names and pronouns
  • Collaborating on goals and pacing
  • Adapting interventions to align with culture, faith, family structure, and community realities
  • Avoiding pathologizing normal survival responses to trauma

Accessibility and accommodations

We strive to reduce barriers to care. If you need an accommodation, you can request it at any time. Examples may include:

  • Telehealth access
  • Sensory considerations
  • Written summaries or structured sessions
  • Mobility or communication accommodations

Contact us at hello@narctrauma.com to discuss what would support you best.

A note on limits
We will never claim to offer specialized services we cannot provide (for example: language fluency or niche specialty care). If we are not the best fit, we will help you find someone who is.

Feedback is welcome
If something about our website or care feels excluding, unclear, or harmful, we want to know. You can reach us here:
