These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of this website, including any content, forms, downloads, digital products, and services offered through it. By using this site, you agree to these Terms.

1) Educational content only (not therapy, not legal advice)
The information on this website is provided for general educational purposes. It is not medical, psychological, legal, or clinical advice and is not a substitute for professional care.

Using this website, submitting a form, purchasing a digital product, or emailing NARC does not create a therapist-client relationship.

If you need immediate help, call 911 or, in the U.S., call/text 988.

2) No emergency communication
NARCdoes not provide crisis services through this website, email, forms, or social media. Do not use this site to communicate urgent safety concerns.

3) Use of contact forms and email
If you submit a contact form or email NARC:

  • You agree to provide accurate information
  • You understand messages may not be read immediately
  • You agree not to send sensitive clinical details through website forms or unsecured email

We may respond with general information about services, availability, and scheduling. Intake and informed consent occur separately.

4) Privacy and confidentiality
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
 Important: confidentiality protections for therapy apply only after a formal therapist-client relationship is established and appropriate documentation is completed.

5) California notice (important)
NARC is based in California. This website and NARC’s educational materials are not intended to diagnose, treat, or provide clinical care outside of a properly established professional relationship.

If you are seeking psychotherapy services, eligibility and availability may depend on clinician licensure rules and your location at the time of services.

6) Intellectual property
All content on this website (text, graphics, logos, handouts, downloads, worksheets, and audio/video materials) is owned by NARC or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other laws.

You may:

  • View and print pages for personal, non-commercial use
  • Use purchased digital products for your own personal use (or for your own household) unless the product explicitly includes a professional license

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, share, upload, republish, or create derivative works from our materials without written permission
  • Post purchased materials in groups, forums, shared drives, or on social media
  • Use our materials to create competing products, trainings, courses, or worksheets

7) Digital products, purchases, and delivery
NARC may offer digital products such as downloads, worksheets, templates, courses, and recordings.

By purchasing a digital product, you agree that:

  • Delivery is typically electronic (download link, portal access, or email)
  • You are responsible for entering the correct email address and maintaining access to your download/email account
  • You will not share or redistribute the product

8) Refunds and returns for digital products
Because digital products are delivered immediately and cannot be “returned,” all digital sales are final unless otherwise stated on the product page or required by law.

If you experience a technical issue (broken link, file corruption, access problem), we will make reasonable efforts to fix delivery or provide an alternate download.

If NARC offers a live course, group, or time-based service, cancellation and refund rules (if any) will be listed on the checkout or registration page and will control for that purchase.

9) Promotions and pricing
Pricing, promotions, and availability may change at any time. Any purchase will be charged at the price shown at checkout at the time of purchase.

10) Account access (if applicable)
If NARCuses an account or portal for courses or downloads:

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login
  • You may not share access credentials
  • NARC may suspend access if misuse is suspected

11) Acceptable use
You agree not to:

  • Use the site for harassment, threats, hate speech, or unlawful activity
  • Attempt to disrupt the site (hacking, scraping, malware, flooding forms)
  • Misrepresent your identity or submit false information
  • Use the site to solicit clients or promote unrelated products/services

We may restrict access if misuse occurs.

12) Testimonials and results
Any testimonials or examples are individual experiences and do not guarantee results. Healing and recovery vary widely, and outcomes depend on many factors.

13) Third-party links and platforms
This site may contain links to third-party websites or use third-party platforms (payment processors, email services, course hosting). NARC is not responsible for third-party content or privacy practices. Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms.

14) Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law:

  • NARC disclaims liability for any damages arising from your use of this website or digital products
  • NARC is not liable for decisions made based on website content
  • NARC is not responsible for interruptions, technical issues, or security incidents beyond our reasonable control

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

16) Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute related to these Terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, unless otherwise required by law.
